I don't know, I must see what this setting actually does. for the moment, leave NTSC Personalize (third menu, with little guy and camera) Nore really important, but I suggest ot have everything Off apart Operation sound 1 Shutter sound 1 Theme Off Startup image Off Close the menu. Activate CHDK going in Alt mode (pressing the "print" button) Open the main CHDK menu pressing the MENU key Extra photo operations All values to their defaults, apart: ND filter state Out (do not confuse it with "Off"!!) Clear override values on sta Unchecked (do not confuse the men item with the "Clear on start" that you find under "Zoom Override" This is on of the last items in the menu This will activate a red alert on the display "ND FILTER: OUT". It's ok, it must be there. It's an alert because now (because of the ND fiterl being out) if you shoot "normally" (i.e. without script) you might end up having badly over-exposed photos) Raw parameters Save Raw Unchecked This is important: if we are in RAW mode the caera will be much slower and will eat much more batteries. Also, please note that there is a short-cut key that activates RAW mode. I sometimes have turned it without realizing and the camera would behave oddly. You recognize the RAW mode because you have a small text in th display saying RAW:nnn and after shooting any photo the blue LED (inside the print button) turns on, and the camera says "BUSY" for a few seconds after each shot. If you have these symptoms, disable RAW mode
